On 8/28/2020 Deeper Root Academy in Orlando went under contract to purchase a property located at 3899 Sand Lake Road in Longwood, FL 32779. The school building is the former Congregation at Beth-Am synagogue. The school will be required to provide a 20% down payment which will come from both school and raised funds.
According to the contract, Deeper Root Academy will be responsible for some repairs and updates to the property. It is estimated that the engineering and construction costs will exceed $150k. Some of the improvements include updating the existing “Tot Lot” and installing a playground area, replacing some flooring with water damage along with ceiling and windows damaged by water intrusion, strip and waxing of the floors in the entire building (including classrooms), painting, roof repairs, replace air conditioning, irrigation, walk-in freezer and landscaping. |
Deeper Root Academy has been renting since it opened in 2014 to service families who desire a unique learning experience for their children and to finally be able to be in our very own building is a great blessing! Please help us provide a safe space for our students to grow and learn according to their learning style while infusing moral values that develop character.

Providing an environment where Christian values are instilled/nurtured within our students is both a privilege and a responsibility at Deeper Root Academy. Our educational focus is based on the study of Howard Gardner’s theory of Multiple Intelligence. At the core of this theory is the recognition that people think and learn differently and that intelligence can be expressed in a multitude of ways. This approach differs from the traditional education provided in both public and private schools in Florida. Using the Common Core State Standards and Nationwide benchmarks, our instruction incorporates each of the major intellectual domains defined by Dr. Gardner and provide opportunities for each student to use his or her unique intelligence to understand the subject matter. In addition, we help students understand their strengths and challenges to learn how to utilize their strengths to acquire new information and work on more fully developing their knowledge in areas that are a challenge for them. Our Christian values and character education foster sound qualities that should be at the core of humanity. We teach our students to embrace their God-given abilities and talents in order to develop their understanding of how they can positively impact our world.
