COVID 19 RESPONSE
Deeper Root Academy has increased the frequency of cleaning and disinfecting "high touch areas," including restroom fixtures, cubbies, desks, door handles, drinking fountains, desks, chairs, etc. ALL Students & staff entering the building are temperature checked. If we are informed of a confirmed exposure to the coronavirus, we will conduct a thorough cleaning & disinfection before we resume operations. We spray & wipe surfaces with chemicals that are effective against COVID-19. These practices have been proven to disinfect & slow the progression of the virus.

Enhancements have been made to ensure we continue to provide a safe and healthy environment for our staff and students. If any further updates are required for us to comply with CDC and Health Department guidelines, we will communicate those via email. We are continuing to make every effort to minimize the risk of infection and make sure we are wise with the children you have entrusted in our care.

-Temperature checks will continue daily (parents must wear a mask and you will be spaced out with directions on how to leave once the child has been cleared to enter the building.
-Questions will be asked daily as another step for entry into the building:
1. Do you, your child, or anyone in the home have any of the following symptoms: fever, cough, shortness of breath/difficulty breathing, chills, repeated shaking with chills, muscle pain, headache, sore throat, or new loss of smell or taste?
2. Have you, your child or anyone in the home been in close contact (e.g., within 6 feet for more than a few minutes) with a person with confirmed COVID-19 infection?
**If the answer to any of these questions is yes and/or the child presents with a temperature above 99.0 degree.
-If you, your child or anyone in the home is experiencing any of the identified symptoms or feel sick, you are asked to remain at home and notify the school office immediately.
-anyone (except for registered students) entering the building will need a mask and we can provide one if you do not have one
-Maintain social distancing as much as possible
-Staggered check-in and check-out (one parent at desk or table at a time). Cones will be outside to maintain distancing.

Your health and well-being are of the upmost importance and we are taking measures to keep the facility/office a safe environment for employees as well as the individuals under our charge and the public. Therefore, anyone coming into the facility/office will be screened and part of our screening process.
